Joseph Michael Dorsey passed away at his home on March 1, 2021. Joseph was born on December 12, 1996 in Nashville, Tennessee to Joe and Amy Dorsey.  Joseph or Joe to his friends had a huge sense of humor, a sensitive soul, a creative mind and a generous spirit.

Since the age of five, he started writing books. He had a wonderful imagination.  In his books he would create cities and towns which included characters from all walks of life.  Along with imagination, Joseph possessed the ability to navigate the world of numbers.  This ability led him to Weber State University where he majored in accounting.

Throughout his life, Joseph made everyone around him laugh.  He was gifted at doing impressions and always had a way of telling a story that would brighten up a room.  He loved being with friends and family whether it was just a night at home or traveling to different states.  He was generous, always offering a helping hand and wanting everyone to feel welcomed.

In the short time, Joseph was on this earth he was a blessing to those who knew him and his light will be missed.

A celebration of Joseph’s life will be held Friday March 12 at 2:00 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 North Fairfield Road, Layton, Utah.
