Joseph F. Foster
NORTH OGDEN – Joseph Franklin Foster, 81, died Monday, April 25, 2011 at his home from causes due to osteoporosis.
He was born February 7, 1930 in Salt Lake City, a son of Franklin Dewey and Maude Valate Chugg Foster.
On May 25, 1951, Joseph married Zelda Kendell in Atlanta, Georgia.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Joe served his country during the Korean Conflict as a Sergeant with the U.S. Army.
He was the owner and operator of Joe’s Auto Repair for many years. He retired from Utah Power and Light where he had been the plant manager.
Joe enjoyed restoring old cars. He also loved going to his cabin, four wheeling and spent over 20 years in Overton, Nevada during the winters.
The family would like to express their love and appreciation to IHC Hospice for the tender care they rendered to Joseph.
Surviving are his wife Zelda of North Ogden; one daughter, Linda Jo (John Patrick) Flynn, three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and one brother, Lee Wade Foster.
Preceding Joe in death was his son, Richard Joseph Foster, brother, Max Ellis Foster and his parents.
Graveside services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Road, where Military Honors will be accorded.
