Joseph Aiken Humphris, our beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend passed away peacefully on Friday, September 9, 2011 after enduring to the end.

He was born on May 14, 1921 to Charles John and Alice Irene Paine Humphris in Ogden, Utah. Joe graduated from Ogden High School, attended George Washington University, University of Utah, and obtained an Associates of Arts and Sciences Degree from Weber State College.

In 1946, he met the love of his life, Maurine Robson. They were married on December 19, 1947 in Ogden, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She preceded him in death in June of 2011.

Following their marriage, Joe continued on his life-long career as a Purchasing Agent and Material Manager. His jobs took them to Denver, Colorado; Reading, Pennsylvania; and Tucson, Arizona. Eventually they returned to Ogden, Utah where they have resided for the last 56 years.

Joe had a strong testimony and belief in the LDS church. He enjoyed being a Home Teacher and loved to share his passion for music with everyone he met. In addition to his great passion for music, Joe lived and breathed golf. He also loved to watch golf matches on Sunday afternoons, with a big bowl of popcorn in his lap.
