Joseph Paul Kirk, 33, died Friday morning, July 25, 2008.
Joe was born January 21, 1975 in Del Rio, Texas. He grew up in San Antonio, Texas, and in the Ogden area of Utah. He was a true sports fan and active in basketball and golf. He had a reputation as a worthy competitor. He also enjoyed music, movies, and dancing.
Joe had many friends, was very generous in giving wherever there was a need, and was known for his charming personality and his continuous smile.
Above everything else in importance to Joe, was his family and friends, especially his two daughters, Taylor and Rylee Jo. He enjoyed everyone around him. If he had one defining characteristic it was his love for people and his ability to make friends wherever he went.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Edna Taitague Kirk, his grandparents, Joseph and Lourdes Taitague of Guam, and his grandparents, William Paul and Mildred Kirk of Nashville, Tennessee.
Joe is survived by two daughters, Taylor Marie Coffey, of South Ogden; and Rylee Jo Kirk, of Layton; his father, William C. Kirk, of Roy; his sister, Emily K. Frandsen (David), of Riverdale; and his two nephews, Connor and Cooper Frandsen, of Riverdale.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 29th at 11:00 a.m. at Lindquist''s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South.
Friends and family may call on Monday, July 28th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m., at Lindquist''s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South.
Interment, Roy City Cemetery.
A memorial fund has been set up for his two daughters and donations are being accepted at any America First Credit Union branch under the name of Joseph Kirk Memorial Fund.
