“Together Again”

Our beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great-grandfather, Joseph Junior Rackham, 83, joined his beloved wife and sweetheart, Joyce on July 30, 2015.  Joseph was born on January 11, 1932 in Ogden, Utah to Edward Wallace and Ruth Welch Rackham.  He married the love of his life, Joyce Edna Beus on October 7, 1950 in Ogden, Utah.  Joseph enlisted into the Utah Army National Guard on January 3, 1954, and was honorably discharged three years later.  Joseph was a very hard worker.  He worked for Swift and Company Meat Packing in the plant, as a driver for Cole Transfer, did construction work, and worked for Jetway as a machinist until he retired.  Joseph loved camping, riding his motorcycle, and going on family vacations.  But most of all he loved spending time with his wife, family, dogs, and pets.

Joseph is survived by his children, Joseph W. (Tammy) Rackham, Ogden; Joletta E. (Ronald) Manus, Pleasant View; Kevin J. Rackham, Arizona; and Randall K. (Amy) Rackham, Ogden; brother, Robert L. (Marge) Rackham, Corvallis, Oregon; 20 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 13, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.  Friends may visit with family on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary.  Interment, Ogden City Cemetery.
