SOUTH WEBER a€" Our beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Joseph Harold Ray, returned home to his loving Heavenly Father on Saturday, September 4, 2010.

Harold was born April 15, 1933 in Ogden, Utah to Joseph Henry and Hilma Mary Runstedt Ray.

He graduated from Davis High School in 1951 and attended Weber State. He met his sweetheart and love of his life, LouAnn Worrall, at the Berthana Roller Skating Rink and they married on September 23, 1953. Their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on September 25, 1955.

He worked at Hill Air Force Base, receiving many awards of recognition, and retired in 1989 after 38 years of service. In 1969, Harold, along with his dad and brother, built Ray''s Valley Service in South Weber, from the ground up providing 41 years of service to the community. He also worked at Snow Basin Ski Resort for over 53 years, managing various operations and acting as the public relations coordinator and greeter to virtually everyone that visited the resort. He enjoyed working with people, especially the youth. He served the community in scouting for over 50 years being on the Eagle Scout Board of Review, and Scout District Commissioner, and various merit certifications. Harold worked many years with the South Weber Secondary Water District serving as president for the past 10 years. He and his wife were chosen as Grand Marshalls for the South Weber County Fair Days in 2009.

Harold was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where he served in various church callings throughout his life including home teacher, bishoprics, and Young Men''s presidencies.

Dad was creative, frugal, conservative, and never in debt to anyone. He could do anything, make anything work, and get along with whatever he had available. He respected everyone for who they were and was in turn respected by everyone. He loved and supported his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren in all their activities. Dad enjoyed horses, motorcycles, hunting, camping, snow skiing, and water skiing with his family. He had a great love for music and learned to play the clarinet and saxophone in high school and recently took organ lessons.

Dad loved life and lived it to the fullest. He was a wonderful example to everyone that knew him and will be greatly missed by all.
