Joseph Cornell Thompson – age 83, was welcomed into the kingdom of Heaven on Thursday, March 24, 2022 in Bountiful, Utah.
Born March 18, 1939 to Joseph C. and Louise Thompson in Knoxville, Tennessee. Joe was retired from FAA after thirty-one years of service. His time with FAA allowed the family to live in several locations, such as Ceiba, Puerto Rico, and Mustang, OK. Joe was a true Southern Gentleman, he smiled and offered a greeting to many. He loved fishing, singing, and loved to help people in any way he could.
At last, he has been reunited with his wife, Sue Carol Dudley, and his younger brother Kenneth. Joe is now in the company of God. For these reasons and more, he would have his friends and family resist the temptation to weep, but instead, ask us to rejoice. Rejoice and sing praises to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. For it is through Him that mankind can know eternal Peace.
His parents Joseph Claude and Louise Cornell preceded him in death. Succeeding him are his two sons and their wives, Joseph Dudley (Martha), Jeffery Ray (Liz), and his grandchildren, Joshua David Nielsen (Jamie), Jennifer Kay (Brian), Nathaniel Joseph and Natasha Jean. One great-grandson, Joseph Warren Nielsen.
