Joseph U. Trujillo, Jr.

OGDEN - Joseph U Trujillo Jr., 65 went to be with our Lord on Friday, September 5, 2008 at Mountain View Rest Home in Ogden, Utah.

He was born on May 30, 1943 in McPhee, Colorado to Margarita L Trujillo and Joseph U. Trujillo Sr.

When he was 17 he joined the U.S. Navy and served in Vietnam from 1961 to 1967. He received an Honorable Discharge.

In 1973 he married Marie Keane and they had two children, but later divorced.

He attended Weber State College for a brief time in the 1980''s. Joseph also spent time as a drug and alcohol counselor. He fought alcoholism; a disease that ultimately claimed his life.

Joseph raised his two children on his own and always provided the best for them.

He was a man of morals and expected no less from anyone he knew.

Those who knew Joseph knew that he was very giving. He would give you the last of anything that he had, never asking anything in return. "Mi Casa! Su Casa!," was the philosophy he lived by.

Joseph kept a good sense of humor and was loved by many.

He wore many hats. Joseph was first a son, then a brother, then a father, followed by a grandfather, an uncle, and a hero. Joseph was a friend, a lover and a fighter! He will be greatly missed and never forgotten by the many hearts he touched.

Surviving are his father, Joseph U Trujillo Sr., sister, Linda (Silvie) Valdez, daughter, Jo-Ann Trujillo, his son, Jose Trujillo, and three granddaughters, Camisha Lemons, Charlie and Che Trujillo.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Margarita Trujillo and brother, Jose Gilbert Trujillo.

We thank God for allowing us so many wonderful memories. We know he is now in the peaceful arms of Jesus.

We would like to thank Chiquita Garcia and Julius for all their help, and the wonderful care of Hospice and Mountain View Rest Home

Graveside services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Ogden City Cemetery.

Friends may call at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd., on Friday from 6 to 7 p.m. where Holy Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m.
