Joseph Neal Yeoman

Joseph Neal Yeoman, Clearfield, UT Together Again

Our loving Father, Grandfather, and Great Grandfather passed away on Friday, July 24, 2009, to be with family and loved ones. His kindness and love will be sorely missed by all who knew him. We find comfort knowing he was faithful to God to the end.

Joseph was born in Hartford, Arkansas, on January 2, 1925. As a young man he joined the Civilian Conservation Corps which brought him to Utah. While living near Heber City he met and married Lola Maurine Clegg on November 28, 1942. They were sealed in the Ogden Temple on June 13, 2009. After the bombing of Pearl Harbor he joined the Army Air Corps and served in Hawaii. Upon his return he worked at the Naval Supply Depot in Clearfield where he made his home.

He and his wife raised six children; Louise (James) McNeill, Bountiful, UT; Paula (Tony) Hasratian, Ogden, UT; Jayne Therianos, West Valley, UT; Wayne (Francell) Yeoman, No. Ogden, UT; Connie (Joe) Post, Eagle, ID; Ron (Karlene) Roy, UT. He deeply missed his wife Lola who passed away in December 2007.

He is survived by his children and two brothers; Omega Joe (Ruth) Arkansas and Ira (Carolyn) Utah. He has 26 grandchildren and 46 great-grandchildren.

He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served in many positions. He loved to impart the teachings of Christ. Joseph was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved to tease and make people laugh. We may never know all the kind deeds he performed.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, July 31, 2009 at 11 a.m. at the Clearfield Stake Center, 935 South State. Friends and family may call Thursday, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 North Fairfield Road, and 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the church prior to the service.
