Joshua Ficklin passed away on April 3, 2021, in Riverdale, Utah. Josh was loved by everyone that met him, always having witty, and clever remarks to put a smile on your face, and make you laugh. He loved playing his guitar, when he was not covering Elliot Smith, he was writing poetry, and his own songs, that were so beautiful that they would bring his family to tears. Josh also loved longboarding; he had an electric longboard that he substituted for a car and rode it everywhere he went. He was an entrepreneur at heart, and had dreams to start a business repairing cellphone’s, laptop’s, screens, and any other electrical component that needed to be fixed. He really enjoyed fixing things, and tinkering with electronics, he loved trading cryptocurrency, and heavily supported anonymity on the internet. As of recent, he worked at Cliff’s Car Wash in Roy, a job which he absolutely loved, and looked forward to going every day. He loved having deep conversations about consciousness, society, and the state of our world.
He is survived by his Mother Melanie Jacques (James Jacques), his father Todd Ficklin, his Brother Devan Ficklin, his sister’s Emily Ficklin (Tim Williams) and Mckynlee Ficklin, his Grandmother Sharon Ficklin, his Aunt’s Karen (Jeff), Lisa(Johnny), Stephanie, and Sherry, his Uncle David, his Stepsiblings Mason, and Marcie (AJ), many cousins, and his Brother from another Mother Mason Hawes.
He is preceded in death by his Grandmother Vicky Peterson, His Grandfather Richard Peterson, and his Grandfather Rudolph Ficklin.
We would like to offer our gratitude to Cliff’s Car Wash, and all his friends who supported Josh, and provided him with a community wherein he felt at home and loved by those surrounding him.
Josh fought valiantly in his fight for addiction, his goals, dreams, and aspirations will live on in the hearts of his family. He was the sweetest, most caring man that you could ever meet, and he will be deeply missed by his family, and friends.
We love you Josh, you will never be forgotten.
