Joshua Kevin Hales, 32, of Ogden, died at his home on Saturday, May 23, 2015.

Born on January 6, 1983 in SLC, Utah to Angela B. Swensen and Kevin C. Hales.   Josh moved to Cedar City with his dad, where he attended school and met the love of his life through high school rodeo.  On April 30, 2005 he married his high school sweetheart, Kresondra Farr and the following year their son Kagen Jeremy Hales was born on June 22, 2006.

Josh loved the outdoors and some of his favorite memories were hunting with his dad.  He also loved to help people and went out of his way to lift the spirit of others.  His friends and family meant the world to him and he loved every one of them deeply.

Josh had a passion for bull riding and rodeo and a talent for leather work.  He started JH Leather and there are many cowboys that are sporting his one of a kind creations.  Josh’s company slogan, “Look Good, Feel Good, Ride Good” will be forever memorialized by the cowboys that wear his gear.

Josh is survived by his beloved wife, Kresondra and his son, Kagen of South Weber; his parents, Kevin and Kathy Hales of Henderson, NV;  mother, Angela B. Swensen of Portland, OR; stepmom, Debbie Garrett of West Jordan; mother-in-law, Cymbre (Dan) Rowser and father-in-law, Darrel (Lauri) Farr.  He also leaves behind his brothers: William Andrew (Amy) Swensen of SLC; Tyson (Kaelee) Hales of West Valley; Chad and Cody Hales of Henderson, NV; his stepsisters,  Kami (Jon) Hardman, West Jordan and Kim (Jimmy) Waters, Goodyear, AZ; and his sister-in-law, Brynn (Zach) VanDyke.  He is further survived by his maternal grandparents, Perry and Ora Bjerregaard and his paternal grandparents, Linda (Albert) McKinney and LaMar Hales.

Josh was preceded in death by an infant brother, Jeremy Kevin Hales.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 29, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.  Friends may visit with family on Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary.  Interment, Uintah Cemetery.
