Joshua W. Morse
RIVERDALE - Joshua Wayne Morse, beloved, cherished son, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend, passed from man’s hand into God’s hand on Sunday, November 22, 2009, at his home in Riverdale following surgery. Joshua was born February 27, 1992, in Ogden, Utah, to Carrie D. Morse and John P. Lewis. He was a senior at Bonneville High School.
Joshua loved all sports, his favorite being football. He loved the Denver Broncos. He played football for Bonneville High School and had been involved with the Boy Scouts. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Riverdale 2nd Ward.
Joshua was a truly remarkable young man. He gave of himself, his time, and his loyalty. His quick wit and wisdom, beyond his years, made for an extraordinary son, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend. Josh had a big heart and was always there to lend a hand no matter the time of day or night. He loved life and people, and he genuinely cared for and found joy in doing for others. He positively impacted so many lives. His remarkable spirit showed through his eyes and his good deeds. He will be missed by all who knew him. In his usual giving way, Joshua’s donor gifts will also give others gifts of life and health. Joshua served the Lord in many unforgettable ways.
He is survived by his mother, Carrie Morse, his father, John Lewis, his grandmothers, Nancy Morse and Joann Galvin, his aunts, Deborah Wilcox-Vincent (cousins Hannah, Andrew, Bruce), Heather Stoneberg (cousin Kailei), Michelle Rosenhan (cousins Jake, Emily, and Michael), and Nancy Nipper (cousins Ottis, Nicholas, Nathan, and Jax).
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Wayne L. Morse.
Josh leaves behind so many who loved him and were blessed to know him.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
Friends may call at the mortuary on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday 9:45 to 10:45 a.m.
Interment, Ogden City Cemetery.
