Joy H. Foxley
SYRACUSE a" Joy H. Foxley passed away Saturday, February 9, 2013. She was born February 1, 1930 to Earl and Eliza Halls in Huntsville, Utah. She was raised in Morgan and graduated from Morgan High School two days before her marriage to Dean L. Foxley. They were sealed on May 26, 1948 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
During their marriage they raised five children. She worked at Hill Air Force Base and IRS.
She was a faithful member of the LDS Church and served in many callings.
Joy had several talents, one remembered by many were her oil paintings, mostly the mural in the old house in Layton. She succeeded in everything she tried. Joy had a great talent of out fishing her family but never ate any.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years Dean Foxley, sister, Lois Maxwell, sister-in-law, Anna Halls, five children, Russell (Karen) Foxley, Layne (Debbie) Foxley, Larry (Luann) Foxley, Wendell (LaRetta) Foxley, and Kathy (Paul) Thurgood. She will also be missed by her 19 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the Syracuse Heritage Ward, 1475 W. 700 So. Friends may visit family on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road and Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church.
Interment, Syracuse City Cemetery.
