OGDEN a€" Joyce Larsen Chatterton, 81, died Tuesday, March 29, 2011 in Ogden, following a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born November 15, 1929 in Preston, Idaho, a daughter of Gerald and Leola Peterson Larsen.

On February 26, 1946, Joyce married Merlin Lynn Chatterton in Salt Lake City Cemetery. He preceded her in death on September 14, 2006.

She had lived in Preston, Idaho; California; and in Ogden.

Joyce was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

She was a homemaker along with working with her husband at Warner Brothers Stables and working all the major race tracks on the West Coast.

Joyce had a love of animals, family and friends.

Surviving are one son, Danny K. (Christina V.) Larsen, Laguna Beach, CA; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Also surviving is one sister, Pamela Ridgway, St. George, UT

Preceding Joyce in death were her husband, parents and sister Di Ann L. Hodges.

Graveside services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
