Joyce D. Dady
1929~2020
Joyce D. Dady passed away Saturday, February 22, 2020 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was 90 years old. She was born on May 21, 1929 in Aurelia, Iowa to Clarence Fay and Emma Godwin Pixler. She married Francis Lewis Walsh on December 18, 1948, he passed away in 1956. She later married Frederick Ervin Dady on April 12, 1958 in Jackson, Minnesota; their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan Utah Temple in July 1962.
Joyce was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served two full time missions with her husband in Little Rock, Arkansas and in the Washington DC Temple. She also served as a temple worker in the Bountiful Utah Temple for several years. She enjoyed gardening, quilting, and crocheting. She absolutely loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Glenda Walsh, Steven (Debbie) Walsh, Douglas (Marian) Walsh, Shaun “Chris” Dady, Gregory Dady, Donna (David) Mockli, Faith (Chad) Freestone, and Elisabeth (Ryan) Broome and a multitude of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, both of her husbands, brother Max, sister Lois, daughter, Diane, a granddaughter Kari and a grandson Adam.
Funeral services will be held Friday, February, February 28, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Rd., Layton, Utah. Friends may visit with family Friday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Rd., Layton, Utah.
