Joyce Farr Durbano

Our beloved Mother, Grandmother, Great-grandmother, and sister, Joyce Farr Durbano, 78, returned to her Heavenly Father on Sunday, February 19, 2017.
Joyce was born to Harold P and Nellie Louise Jay Farr in Ogden, Utah where she was raised throughout her life. She graduated from Ben Lomond High School where she made lifelong friends. Joyce continued her education at Utah State University.
She met her husband, Victor A. Durbano in high school. They were married on May 22, 1958 and were married 57 years when Vic passed away in 2015. Together they raised five children in Roy, Utah.
Joyce was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held many callings, but what she loved most were the Primary children that were near and dear to her heart. She loved to sew, crochet, read, and attend the temple. She retired from America First Credit Union.
Joyce is survived by children, Carrie (Dan) Thomas, Laurie (Boyd) Fife, Brian (Lori) Durbano, Darren (Kristi) Durbano, and Philip (Kami) Durbano; 14 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; and brother, Robert (Shirley) Farr. She was preceded in death by her husband, Victor; one great-grandson, Bode Barkdull; her parents, and sister, Marlene Thurell.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 24, 2017 at 11 a.m. at the Sandridge Ward, 4900 South 2000 West. Roy. Friends may visit with family on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. and Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Rd.
The family would like to thank the wonderful caregivers and staff at Lotus Park Assisted Living, the staff at A Step Forward Hospice Care, especially Althea and Dr. Stephen Bruce, and Dr. Bruce Thomas and the staff at Ogden Regional Hospital for their care of mom and for the service they provided to the needs of the family during this time.
