Joyce Parrish Larkin, 71, returned to our loving Heavenly Father on Saturday, September 18, 2021, after a valiant battle with dementia. The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation for all those who cared for her over the years. Joyce was born in Ogden, Utah on August 14, 1950 to Coulson and Elaine (Jones) Parrish. Joyce graduated from Twin Falls High School in 1968 and Weber State University in 1991 with a BA degree in English.

Joyce married the love of her life Scott F. Larkin on June 15th, 1970 in the Salt Lake Temple and they were married for 51 years. Joyce and Scott lived in Ogden, Eden, North Ogden, and finally Pleasant View, Utah. They have 3 children and 13 grandchildren, who are the pride and joy of Joyce’s life.

She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in various callings that brought her great joy and happiness. Joyce developed many life-long friends through the different communities she lived in and the places that she worked - State Farm Insurance and Flying-J Corporation. She was known for her fun personality, her love of family and friends, and her exceptional work in all that she did. Joyce enjoyed cooking and crafts and was very talented at both. She loved travelling and any adventure, especially with her family. Joyce was a wonderful and caring wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister. She was an influence on all who knew and loved her.

Survived by husband, Scott Larkin, Pleasant View; daughter, Staci (Jon) Call, North Ogden; son, Shane (Andrea) Larkin, Waddell, AZ; son, Jace (Heidi) Larkin, Goodyear, AZ; brother, Val (Marlene) Parrish, South Ogden; brother, Ray (Joan) Parrish, Twin Falls, ID; and 13 grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her parents, Coulson and Elaine (Jones) Parrish.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 24, 2021 at 11 a.m. at the Pleasant View 4th Ward Chapel, 3035 North 1325 West. Friends may visit with family on Friday from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment, Ogden City Cemetery. Services entrusted to Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary.
