Joyce Y. Owens Lindsey

1932-2021

KAYSVILLE-Joyce Y. Owens Lindsey of Kaysville, Utah, passed away September 21, 2021. She was born July 24, 1932, in Brigham City, Utah a daughter of Leo and Lillian Youngquist.

On December 25, 1951, she married Jack S. Owens in Yuma, Arizona. Jack passed away May of 1977. Joyce married Willard Travis Lindsey in September 1984.

She was raised in Box Elder County Schools and graduated from Box Elder High School, where she was a cheerleader and Majorette in the band.

Joyce worked in retail, enjoying her time with Kiddie Ville, Fred M Nye’s and opening her own boutique in Brigham City.

She is survived by her two sons and one daughter: Vince Owens, Rick Owens, And Trudy (Richard) Longfellow. Also, the loves of her life, her grandkids; Shantel Longfellow and Chase (Katie) Longfellow. She was proceeded in death by her sisters Doris, Donna, and brother Ronny.

A special thank you to Hospice, Moi, Seno, and Ashley, her nurses during her final days and everyone in the Kaysville 11 Ward for their kindness and support.

Graveside services will be held Friday, September 24, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd., Ogden, Utah.

Services entrusted to Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Rd., Layton, Utah.
