Joyce LaVerne Mumford-Massamormile May 8, 1935 a€" May 15, 2012

Joyce returned to God peacefully in her sleep as a result of Congestive Heart Failure at Lomond Peak in Ogden, UT.

She was born on May 8, 1935 in Ogden, UT to the late Joseph T. and LaVerne Helen Taylor Mumford.

Joyce was an avid Nascar fan and particularly enjoyed cheering on Dale, Jr. and the late Dale Earnhardt, Sr.

Mom was very fond of cheeseburgers, therefore, earning the nick name ''Wimpy''. "I''ll gladly pay you on Tuesday for a cheeseburger today".

Mother had a great love for animals and enjoyed the company of many puppy dogs throughout her life.

Joyce is survived by her children, Jodie (Mike) Thomas of Ogden, UT; DeAnna (Richard) Bingham of Modesto, CA; Michael Jessop of Hood River, OR; Gordon (Melanie) Jessop of Modesto, CA; Jayme Ordaz of Las Vegas, NV and Jeanette Pisani of Portland, OR; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Bob (Kay) Mumford of Roy, UT and Tom (Victoria) Mumford of Las Vegas, NV.

A special thank you to Lomond Peak Care and Rehab, to her loving hospice workers and all other persons that took such good care of our mother.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, May 18, 2012 at 10 a.m. at Lindquist''s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit family on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
