Joyce Arleen Meyer (Johnson) a resident of Provo Utah passed away in the early hours of June 13, 2024.
Joyce was born in Cook County, Illinois on November 7, 1938 to Harry P. Robison and Bertha M. Sangster. During her teen years she moved to California with her father where she met and married her husband Glen R. Johnson Sr. and they had 3 of their 10 children. Around 1965 they decided to move the family to Salt Lake City, Utah where they had 7 more children and spent the remainder of their marriage. Joyce was a mother, homemaker, PTA president and loved her pet chickens and dogs.
Later in life Glen and Joyce went their separate ways and Joyce met and married LeRoy Meyer and they shared the joy of 2 more children. Joyce had stated many times her main goal in life was to be the mother of 12 children and she did accomplish this goal.
Joyce was a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and it was important to her late in her life to return to the temple and this she did when she was 84 years old.
She was preceded in death by Glen Johnson Sr., LeRoy Meyer and sons Glen Johnson Jr., and Robert Johnson.
She leaves behind her sons Jerry Johnson, Michael Johnson, David Johnson, Gary Johnson, Keith Johnson and Roy Meyer and daughters Bonny Wiles, Nicole Johnson, Jamie Johnson and Stephanie Meyer along with many many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter.
A Graveside service will be held on Thursday June 20, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at the Lindquist’s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Road, Layton, Utah.
