Our loving wife, great-grandmother to mother, sister and friend, Joyce Elaine Byers Moss passed away peacefully in her home on Tuesday, June 21 2022. She was born on March 14, 1931. She married to her soul mate, Ray W Moss, on June 30, 1949. She was raised in Ogden, Utah. She went to Ogden High School. Joyce had many jobs from a popcorn girl at the local movie theater, working with the family business as dispatcher and running the deposit. Later in life she worked as a lunchroom cook at the elementary her children went to. She loved watching her children, grandchildren and great-grandkids perform in their activities or play at the house. Her passion was her family. Throughout her life she actively enjoyed golf, bowling, boating, camping, quilting and most of all spending time with her family and friends.

 

Joyce is survived by her sister, Julia Byers McNeill; children, Sandra (Terry) Robinson, Kevin (Roberta) Moss, Karlene (Brent) Lindley, Sharon (Michael) Perez, and Susan (Michael) Parry; grandchildren, Ryan (Kristie) Robinson, Melissa (Tom) Georges, Richard-Paul Harges, George (Emily) Robinson, John (Kat) Robinson, Matthew Robinson, Angee (Jeff) Stock, Kelly (Jackie) Moss, Jeremiah (Rachel) Moss, Dustin Moss, Danny (Melinda) Moss, Heather Lindley, Allison (Dru) Johnson, Sara Lindley, Zachary Holland, Rachel Holland, Benjamin Holland, MaKenzie Smith, Mason Smith, Amber Parry, and Anna Parry; great-grandchildren, James Robinson, Laura Robinson, Melanie Robinson, Westley Robinson, Benjamin Robinson, Nicholas Georges, Jack Georges, Beckham Robinson, Avery Robinson, Cannon Robinson, London Robinson, Sage Stock, Aspen Stock, MeKell Moss, Kreed Moss, Ryklie Moss, Jayden Moss, Dawson Moss, Maggie Moss, Molly Moss, DJ Moss, Riley Holland and Hazel Johnson; great-great-grandchild, Hunter Christensen.

 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray W Moss; parents, Arthur and Zella Mae; brothers, Arthur, Delbert, and Lewis; son, Kerry Moss and granddaughter, Brianna Moss extended family and friends.

 

Special thanks to Dr. Gary Holland and staff at A Plus Hospice for their exceptionally warm compassion and care.

 

Funeral services will be held  on Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Wednesday from 10:30 to 11 a.m. at the mortuary. Joyce will be laid to rest at Aultorest Memorial Park, 836 36th Street, Ogden, Utah.

 

I see trees of green, red roses too.

I see them bloom for me and you.

What a wonderful world!
