Joye Montgomery

Joye Bramwell Johnson Montgomery was the youngest of ten children born to Wilford and Josephine Bramwell on February 21, 1928 in Ogden, UT.  There Joye attended grade school through college.  A great joy was having friends with whom she started school remain friends all her life.  Joye married Joseph T. Johnson and had eight children.  They lived in Japan for 12 years and Joye valued the warmth and generosity of the Japanese people.  Joe and Joye later divorced.

Joye said working at the LDS Church Office Bldg. in Operations and Maintenance was a highlight of her life.  She married Faunt Montgomery and lived in Clearfield until they later divorced.  She moved to Layton and was in the Oakhills Ward until her final move to Chancellor Gardens.  Joye treasured her membership and her callings in the LDS Church.  She dearly cherished all her friends and she had the best of the best who stood by her and loved her through many difficult life challenges.

She loved her family and is loved by them – her children Rebecca, Joe, Frankie, Joni (deceased), Julie and Jeff (C.J.) Johnson, Liz Marshall (Jack), Amy Allred, her grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, August 6, 2015 at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 N. Fairfield Rd.  Friends may visit family from 9 to 10:30 a.m. prior to the service.  Interment, Ogden City Cemetery.
