Joye H. Rowe passed away on Friday, February 23, 2018 at Peach Tree Assisted Living of natural causes at 94 years of age. She was born on July 2, 1923 in Ogden, Utah to Phillip J and Minnie Rackham Hooper. She was one of five children and graduated from Ogden High School.

She married Frank M. Rowe on June 6, 1942 in Preston, Idaho.

Joye worked for Sunset City, Bon Marche, and Hill Air Force Base where she retired in 1988. She loved to play cards, enjoyed many years with the South Ogden Senior Center, and painting ceramics.

Joye is survived by her daughter, Vicky (Ken) Brown, Roy, UT; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Sharyl Dornhecker; son, Clifford R. Rowe; three sisters, and one brother.

The family would like to thank Peach Tree Assisted Living for the special care given not only to mom but to all of us. Thanks also to Comfort Worx Hospice for the care during her final days.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Humane Society of Utah or to your favorite charity in her name.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist’s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Rd. A Gathering of family and friends will be held on Wednesday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
