Juanita Margaret Morgan Chilson

Juanita M. Chilson, 97, passed away on Monday, November 17, 2014. She was born in Emporia, Kansas on June 6, 1917, the daughter of Fredrick Arunah and Vida Marquend Nichols Morgan.

She married William “Bill” Ellwood Chilson on January 24, 1935 in Wichita, Kansas.  Bill passed away on April 22, 1987.

Juanita attended the Lutheran Church.

In her early days she loved bowling, crocheting, and playing bingo.  She also enjoyed camping at the Eagles Campground.

Juanita is survived by her children, William “Bill” (Julie) Chilson, Layton; daughters, Sharon Kay Chilson (Les) Moore, Sunset; and Connie Sue Chilson (Paul) Thorpe, Calabash, North Carolina; nine grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and eight great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, one brother and one sister.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, November 21, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.  Friends may visit family on Friday from 9:30 and 10:30 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
