On March 6, 2024, surrounded by the care of her loving family, Juanita Poulsen Hopfenbeck peacefully returned to our Heavenly Father to be reunited with Don and other loved ones who have gone before. Juanita was born September 16, 1940, in Montpelier, ID, to Francis and Ramona Poulsen. The Bear Lake area was always and forever remembered as her home.
She graduated from Weber High School in 1958. A short time later she met Don Ray Hopfenbeck at a church activity. Don and Juanita were married on July 23, 1959, in the Logan Utah Temple and a few years later moved into a home in Washington Terrace. This would be their lifetime home where they welcomed three children, many friends, relatives, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Juanita was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many positions within the Church including in the Young Women, Relief Society and Primary organizations.
She loved her family with all her heart and gave selflessly of her time and energy to support their pursuits and care for them in every way she could. All who knew Juanita were touched by her loving and kind nature.
Juanita is survived by her three children, Donita (Jeffrey) Ruth, Scott (Kim) Hopfenbeck, and Lance (Mindy) Hopfenbeck; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and her brother, Randy Poulsen.
