Juanita H. Tremelling

Juanita H. Tremelling, 84, passed away Sunday, February 13, 2011 in Layton from cardiac arrest. She was born July 14, 1926 in Conda, Idaho to David Holden and Lena Valeria Joseph Holden. She was one of nine children.

After graduating from Soda Springs High School she worked as a nurses aid in the Soda Springs Hospital. She met her husband, Lester C. Tremelling, while working there. They married on June 5, 1944 in Coeur d''Alene, Idaho. Their marriage was solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple on June 8, 1951. She was a loving and supporting wife to her husband until his death in July, 1994.

During her life she lived in Conda, Idaho; Hayden Lake, Idaho; and Layton, Utah. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She held many church callings her favorite being Relief Society Homemaking Work Director. She enjoyed and excelled at making wedding cakes with hand rolled roses. She volunteered at Enable Industries, which she enjoyed very much. She loved her roses. They were a source of much pride and joy. During her final years, her passion for embroidering dishtowels and pillowcases kept her busy. There was nothing she would not do for her children.

She is survived by Patty (Dennis) Morgan, RosaLee Warnock, Catherine (George) Ruybal, Dave (Janet) Tremelling, and Irma (John) Cottam; 21 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild on the way. She is also survived by her sister Iona Miller, Post Falls, Idaho and sister-in-law Margaret Hemmert, Soda Springs, Idaho. She was preceded in death by her husband, a daughter (Peggy Lynn) and a grandson (Jason Morgan).

Funeral services will be held Friday, February 18, 2011 at 9 a.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Friends may visit family on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 8:00 to 8:45 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Soda Springs, Idaho at 2 p.m.
