Judie Diamond

Judie Diamond passed away peacefully Saturday, February 8, 2014, from cancer. Although her diagnosis was terminal she accomplished many important goals before her death.

She was born June 27, 1944, in Ogden, Utah to Bernie and VerBena Brostrom Diamond.

She was married to Bill Sidwell, resulting from this union are Todd (Amy) Sidwell and Dana (Perry) Rogers. They were later divorced. In 2002, Judie married the love of her life, Donald Eddy with whom she enjoyed 11 great years.

Judie enjoyed being a Travel Agent for many years; she also worked for Deseret Book. She was deeply loved by friends and clients all over the world. She was very proud to be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served faithfully in many callings. She loved the Lord with all of her heart and in every way endeavored to exemplify the pure love of Christ. Judie and Donald recently returned from serving a mission in Texas where she touched many hearts, especially the elementary students where she volunteered. She was also proud of her Jewish Heritage.

One of Judie’s many loves is for animals, starting very young in her life. She had many pets over the years including a monkey, and cared for hundreds of strays. She enjoyed serving as Vice President of the Humane Society of Northern Utah. She was a great lover of people, and tried to help as many as she could. She always helped the underdog. She was the world’s greatest Grandma! She will be greatly missed!

Judie is survived by Donald and his sons, David (Annette), St. George; Dale (Kay), Magna; daughter, Janet (Randy) Cadriao, Hawaii; Don’s eight grandchildren; her son, Todd (Amy) Sidwell and their six children, Jessica ( Kaden), Jaimey, Saige, TJ, Jett, and Addyson, all of North Ogden; her daughter, Dana (Perry) Rogers and their three daughters, Paige (Austen), Carissa (Rylie), and Courtney; three great-grandchildren, KC, Lilly and Annabelle, all of Ogden; and one sister, Susan (Reid) Graser, Phoenix, AZ. She is also survived by her loving dog, Harley, and cat, Sassy, who never left her side.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Richard Diamond, and a daughter-in-law, Kelly Sidwell.

Judie and her family wish to thank Rocky Mountain Hospice Weber/Davis for all of their great care and kindness.
