Judith Forster

Judith “Judy” Ann Madsen Forster was born Oct. 15, 1939, in Monroe, UT, to Emma and Burt Madsen. At the age of 4 they moved to Bountiful, UT, then Boise, ID where she graduated at Boise High School in 1957. In 1961, Judy graduated from BYU-Provo, UT with a degree in Physical Education. On the same day Judy signed a contract to teach Physical Education and Health at Dixon Junior High in Provo, UT. This same year she met her eternal companion Ken Forster. They were married in Sinclair, WY in 1963, where Ken’s job at Sinclair Oil Refinery had taken them. They were sealed for eternity at the Salt Lake City, UT LDS Temple on April 9, 1971. In 1978 they moved their family of 6 kids to a ranch in Saratoga, WY. Two more children were born during this time before they eventually moved to Kaysville, UT in 1985, where she would live out the rest of her life.

Judy served many callings in all organizations of the LDS church. Her favorite was her last calling she loved so very much at the Joseph Smith Memorial Building. She loved visiting and meeting new people. She was also an avid reader and heavily involved in genealogy, history, music, and always doing something for someone else. She dedicated years of service in the ESL program at Sam Morgan Elementary. Her favorite activities were taking trips, attending musical events, running errands, dining out and dragging Ken to movies, tending to her gardens, and playing with her dog Abby. As a selfless devoted Mother of 8 she was full of patience, love, and sacrifice, never showing any signs of being angry. Her greatest joy was her family. She was the ultimate example of kindness and love.

She is survived by her husband, Ken; sons: Reg (Laurie) Forster, Saratoga, WY; David (Kasia) Forster, Meridian, ID; Mike (Jessica) Forster, Afghanistan; Shane (Jeanallie) Forster, Farmington, UT; Nate (Angie) Forster, Kaysville, UT; daughters: Terri (Terry) White, Alberta, Canada; Sheri (Tony) Daniels, Elko, NV; Shaunna (Mike) O’Conor, Monument, CO; Kristen Sorensen, Kaysville, UT; 25 grandchildren: Brooke, Brandee, Holly, Scott (Ken), Kirsten, Brandon, Trevor (Chantel), Mariah (Josh), Cassidy, Elizabeth, Michael, Victoria, Hannah, Devin, Madie, Saydee, Cache, Kaizer, Cole and Ellie; and her brother Don (Joyce) Madsen, Hermiston, OR.
