Judith Lynn Hopkins Peotter
RIVERDALE a" On Wednesday, July 15, 2009, our dear wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, left us to join her parents, Justin and Ethel Hopkins.
Judy was born June 1, 1953 in Chatteroux, France, where her father was stationed in the military. Her family lived in Washington, D.C., Houston and Waco, Texas and Peru, Indiana, before moving to Clearfield, Utah in 1958. She lived in Clearfield the majority of her life. In 2005, she finally got her dream home and moved to Riverdale.
Judy had four children, Amy, Alisa, April and Heather from her first marriage. In 1984, she married Joe Peotter. He was the love of her life, constant companion and the best stepfather her children could have asked for. Judy loved her family more than anything else in her life.
Judy worked at Hill Air Force Base for 28 years, working her way up from a data transcriber to a computer system analyst.
Her hobbies were sewing, crocheting, crafts and playing the penny slots in Wendover. For many years, she had the whole family over to her house every week for Sunday dinner. Christmas and birthdays were an extravaganza of gifts that she made and purchased all year long.
Judy is survived by her husband, Joe, her daughters, Amy (Chad) Dunn, Alisa (Ben) Bradshaw, April (Rome) Essex and Heather (Sean) Reiter. Her grandchildren, Jake, Kelsi, Brolan, Cole, Kynadee, Cade, Aubree, Mayzee, Ethan, Austin, Landon and Bridger were her most prized possessions.
She is also survived by her brothers, Jerry (Maggie) Hopkins, Steve (Jilyn) Hopkins, Mike (Amy) Hopkins, her sister, Kathy (Tim) Wright, mother-in-law, Rose Moser, stepfather-in-law, Urb Moser, sisters-in-law, Jenny (Anthony) Buonocore, Jacci (Rob) Kaltenbach, and brother-in-law, Jeff Friis. She also leaves behind her favorite aunt, Evelyn Clifford.
Although we will miss her every day of our lives, she will always be with us in our hearts.
A little girl when asked where her home was, replied, "where mother is." a" Keith L. Brooks.
