Judith Montgomery Ferrin Poll

MTN. GREEN, UT – Judy passed away peacefully on January 10, 2017 at her home surrounded by her family. She was the sixth child born to Leland James and Ellen Lucille Harrison Montgomery.  Mom was raised in Huntsville, Utah, by Leland and Beverly Saville Grow Montgomery after her mom's passing, which holds many fond memories.

Mom was very fortunate to love two men in her life. On September 10, 1959 she married Garth Stanley Ferrin. To this union were born two children Becky and Stan. Garth was tragically killed in an automobile accident on April 13, 1963. After Garth's death mom fell in love with a family friend Robert Warner Poll and on August 8, 1964 they were married. They then added six more children to their family, Sandey, Clint, Val, Sharon, Dominic, and Jennifer.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held many callings in the Primary, Young Women, and Relief Society.  In 1992, she served with Dad when he was called to be President of the Michigan Detroit Mission. After Dad retired they chose to serve another mission in Independence Missouri as the director of the visitors’ center. After returning from Independence they served in the Ogden LDS Temple as ordinance workers until it was closed for remodeling. Mom was very excited to return when it reopened in 2014. She served as a Sealing Coordinator until last summer when her health declined. Mom also served as the scribe for Dad’s Patriarchal Blessings.

Judy is survived by her husband of 52 years, and a great posterity of eight children and their spouses, Becky (Brad) Francis, Stan (Lisa) Ferrin, Sandey (Tom) Johansen, Clint (Kelli) Poll, Val (Heather) Poll, Sharon (Troy) Toone, Dominic (Rachel) Poll, and Jennifer (Matthew) Miller. There are 49 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren with two more great-granddaughters to be added very soon.

Mom is also survived by her siblings, Joyce Montgomery, Charlene Grover, LeeAnn (Mark) Fuller, Anita Ferrin, Fran (John) Oliver, Neva (Ross) Wangsgard, Rhea (Bryan) Schade, and Dennis (Kathy) Montgomery, Jean Wadman, Rich (Wendy) Poll, Kent (Ellen) Poll, Calvin (D’Lynn) Poll, Dennis (Jill) Poll, Shelly (Steve) Hopkin, Tammy (Dave) Siebert, Darlene Bates, Wilma Ferrin, Rex Ferrin, and Conrad (Kristen) Ferrin.

She was preceded in death by her siblings, Jean, Eleanore, and Norman.

The family would like to thank IHC Hospice staff, especially Russell, for their care and concern.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at 11 a.m. at the Morgan North Stake Center, 2755 W. Old Hwy Rd., Enterprise.  Friends may visit with family on Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. sharp at the church.  Interment, Mtn. Green Cemetery.  Services entrusted to Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary.
