Judith Arnold Stevens 1913 a" 2008
OGDEN - Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, wife and sister, died Sunday, September 14, 2008 at the home of her son, Richard, in Murray, Utah. She had lived with Rich and Linda for the past five years.
Judith was born December 16, 1913 in Coalville, Utah to Orson Allen and Pearl May Frost Arnold. Her father was killed in an industrial accident when she was just six years old. She attended schools in Coalville and graduated from North Summit High School in 1932, where she was Valedictorian. She also attended Brigham Young University. She worked at the First National Bank of Coalville, which was the beginning of a lifelong career in the banking industry.
She married Richard "Dick" W. Stevens on April 29, 1939 in Coalville. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple. After Dick graduated from Utah State Agricultural College, they moved to the Heyburn/Burley area of Idaho where Dick taught school and coached football and basketball.
At the outbreak of World War II they moved to Ogden where Dick worked for the Southern Pacific Railroad and Judith continued her career in banking. Over the next 25 years, she worked for Clearfield State Bank, First Security Bank and finished her career at Bank of Utah in Ogden.
She and Dick were able to travel extensively and were married for 58 years. She spent 10 years taking care of him after he suffered a stroke and was a great example of love and service to us all.
Judith was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and enjoyed serving in the Relief Society.

(Linda) Stevens, Murray; her daughter, Jean Moore, Salt Lake City; five grandchildren, Jennifer (Rob) French, Boise, ID; Jodi (Kevin) Releford, Minneapolis, MN; Amy (Jim) Vivas, Fontana, CA; Jonathan (Janelle) Stevens, Midvale, UT; Linsey Stevens, Murray, UT; and seven great-grandchildren.
