Judith Wiltsie

Judith Marion Wiltsie

April 05, 1941 – March 02, 2017

We lost the most precious and loving person in our lives today.  She was our mum, our grandma, our great grandma and the love of my life.

Judith was born in Cambridge, England to Ernest and Edna Howlett.  She came from a very loving and caring family that reflected in her caring ways with everyone who knew her.  She was a loyal friend, thrived on integrity and always found good in everyone.

Judith married Jim, her love and best friend for life.  She was a dedicated military wife.  Their marriage survived many separations and hardships due to Jim’s military career.

Judith loved to collect Teddy Bears, do crafts and puzzles, visit Hawaii and read American history.  She was a teachers-aid at North Layton Junior High School and Fairfield Junior High School.  She loved working with children with special needs.  She was named the Outstanding Para educator in the Self Contained Category at Fairfield Junior High School in 2001 and retired after 20 years of service in 2004.  Judith also cared about animals and supported many animal rescues organizations.  One of her favorite past times was sitting on the patio and enjoying many beautiful days having a cup of tea with her husband Jim. She will be sorely missed by her dog Lillie who was always at her side during her tragic illness.

Judith is survived by her husband Jim of 54 years, her son Robert (Ronda) and daughters Laura (Matt), Karen (Ronnie), Kim (Jason), Sandra (Dustin), 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Our family would like to sincerely thank all of our friends and neighbors for all of their help and kindness in this saddest time of our lives.  The Wiltsie family would also like to thank Nurse Anna Beth OConnor and the staff of nurses at the Utah Oncology Clinic for their care and support through many difficult days.

Goodnight sweet Judith, we love you so much, especially me.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.  Friends may visit family from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the mortuary.
