Judy Jolene Evans
April 1, 1966 ~ February 12, 2022
Judy Jolene “JudyJo” Evans was born in Ogden, Utah on April 1, 1966. She passed away suddenly at home on Saturday, February 12, 2022.
Judy was the middle of three daughters born to Dennis and Louise Wakefield. She is survived by her parents; sisters, Lana Wakefield and Jill Wakefield; husband, Shaun Evans; daughters, Anna Othman and Michele Fincher; sons, Rafe Langston and Robert Evans; God-daughter, McKinley; and six grandchildren, Liam, Calvin, Carter, Alexander, Emma and Caleb.
Judy enjoyed scrapbooking, “bee-bopping around” with her younger sister, and work. Especially work in customer service and helping others. She worked in various industries throughout her life, most recently in the healthcare industry as an environmental services technician. At Ogden Regional Medical Center, she was frequently praised for her humor and kindness and earned many, many positive comments regarding patient experience.
Judy faced many changes and challenges in her too-short life and, although she was small (known sometimes as “Little Judy” or “Smurf-B-Short”), she was strong and scrappy. Judy loved Tweety Bird and the Serenity Prayer: “God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; courage to change the things I can; and wisdom to know the difference.” Such a great guide to living and description of the way she lived her life.
Judy and Shaun were married in June 1985 and again in May 2013. Judy was her husband’s rock. She was punctual, organized and lived by multiple clocks and calendars. Her loss is profound and affects not only the day-to-day life of her husband and younger son with whom she lived, but that of the rest of her family, friends, and colleagues.
