Judy N. Takara
ROY – Judy Naoko Takara, 56, died Tuesday, March 18, 2008 at her home of pancreatic cancer.
She was born August 7, 1951 in Los Angeles, California, a daughter of James Tadashi and Tsugiye Ambo Sakuma.
Judy was raised and educated in Los Angeles, California and had lived in the Ogden area for the past 30 plus years.
She was a member of the Buddhist Church.
She retired from the U.S. Government as a computer specialist.
Judy was an avid marathon runner.
Surviving are one brother and one sister, Steven (Janice) Sakuma, Montebello, CA; Sachiko (Stanley) Kakita, La Canada, CA; three nieces, Kristina (Steven) Yamada, Penny (Matt) Wolf, Carin Sakuma, and one nephew, Robert Tomomitsu.
Preceding her in death were her parents and niece, Stephanie Sakuma.
The family expresses their thanks to Dr. Vincent Hansen and hospice nurse Mickey Olsen, for the loving care they gave to Judy.
Family will greet friends at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd., on Thursday from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.
