Julaine Moore

April 13, 1939 — September 9, 2019

After a 13 year battle with stage-4 lung cancer, Julaine Hurst Moore passed away at age 80, surrounded by her husband and children.  She will be remembered as the center of her family and an endless source of love, strength, determination and encouragement.

She was born on April 13, 1939 in Ogden, Utah, the second child of Myrtle Geneva Pierce and Vard Linden Hurst.

She married John Bennett Moore Jr., on August 8, 1958 in the Salt Lake Latter-day Saints Temple.  They were together for 61 years.  She is preceded in death by her parents and older brother, V. Linden Hurst and her brother-in-law, Harold A.B. Gardiner.

She is survived by her husband and children, Matthew and Nancy Jones, Michael and Mary Lucero, Jay and Linda Moore.  She also leaves behind her siblings, Darlene Hurst, Janet Gardiner, Roger and Anita Hurst, Ralph and Barbara Hurst, and Steve and Patricia Carver.  She has 10 grandchildren, Brandon and Angel Ross, Julaine Kylee Jones, Hannalyn Jones, Margaret Julaine Moore, Zachary and Christina Jones, Tanner Moore, Elder Wilkin Jones, Sophia Moore, Camille Moore and Calvin Moore.  She has one great-grandchild, Lydia Julaine Jones.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 14, 2019 at 10 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 144 S. Abarr Dr., Pueblo West, Colorado.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday, September 17, 2019 at 2 p.m. at Ogden City Cemetery.

Services entrusted to Lindquist's Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
