Julene Nelson Jepson was reunited with her mother on Saturday, February 5, 2011. She passed on to the next life from complications caused by asthma.
Julene was born in Brigham City on November 6, 1956 to Dallas and Marlene Jensen Nelson and grew up in Mantua and Ogden graduating from Bonneville High School in 1975. Julene''s work history included hair stylist, secretary and mail carrier. She married Michael Nelson in 1976 and had two sons, Nathan Michael and Nicholas Matthew. She was later divorced and in 1996 married Shane Jepson in Hawaii. They were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. She adored her husband and he cherished her. In 1999 their bond brought the daughter she always yearned for, Morgan Marlene Jepson.
Julene''s love, devotion, energy, talents and desire to serve all she knew, in any way she could, was unmatched. Julene gave her all, and because of this, was loved by all. The true love in her life was her children. She was so proud of her two sons, Nate and Nick. She loved them with all her heart. Her best friend was her 11-year-old daughter, Morgan. They were inseparable and spent hours creating, shopping, planning for holidays and birthdays, watching movies and doing crafts. Park City was their favorite get away. The temporary breaking of this mortal bond is unbearable, but through our faith in Jesus Christ we know comfort will come in this life, and unimaginable joy throughout eternity is waiting. Julene also cherished her two grandchildren, Sophia and Nathan. She adored and talked about them continually. Many lives will be left empty by the departure of such a special daughter of God. Maybe now, on the other side, Julene can truly realize the measure and scope of the love those that had the privilege of knowing her felt.
She is survived by her husband, Shane; sons Nate (Misty) Nelson, Nick (Sarah) Nelson; daughter Morgan; two grandchildren, Sophia and Nathan Nelson; parents Dallas and Rachel Nelson, mother-in-law Vicki Burns, father-in-law Jack Jepson, her sister Diann (Jim) Carrig, niece Mindy (Dan) Holley, nephew Tracy (Julie) Ropelato and aunt Sherilee Cope.
