OGDEN - Our sweet Mom, Grandma, and Great-grandma passed away on Monday March 1, 2010 at the age of 91. Her gentle ways and unconditional love for everyone she met will be missed; the legacy she leaves behind will be felt for generations to come.

Mom married Dad (John T. "Jack" Hardman) on January 27, 1940; they were sealed in the Salt Lake City Temple.

Mom was anxious to be with Dad after his passing in October 2008; she was his "Julie girl" and he was her "Jackie boy"; and together they shared a love story that was an example to their entire family; what joy their reunion must be. Julie was a stay at home Mom; she and Dad raised four amazing sons: Jack (Patti) Hardman, Kalispell Montana; David (Mary) Hardman, South Ogden; George (Sue) Hardman, West Point; and Robert (Norma) Hardman, Clearfield; they have twelve grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.

Mom was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served in many callings including service in the temple; her favorite calling of all was teaching primary children.

Mom and Dad have been blessed with many wonderful friends; the stories of their times together are legendary. We are grateful for the joy and happiness they experienced throughout the years.

Mom was a very talented lady; among her many talents was her "green thumb"; her rose bushes were renowned and she took great pride in her beautiful flower gardens.

Mom was preceded in death by all of her brothers and sisters and their spouses; she was truly the "last leaf on the tree" of her generation.

We want to extend our sincere love and appreciation to her dear caregiver of the past one and half years, Loka Vee; thank you Loka for loving our Mom as much as we do! Thank you "Your Parents Au Pair" for sending an angel like Loka.

We also want to acknowledge the care that the Legacy Hospice provided for Mom; your concern for her health and comfort has been immeasurable; Paige, thank you.

A family devotional was held on Tuesday evening March 2.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday March 3, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at the Ogden City Cemetery, where Mom will be laid to rest beside our Dad.
