Julia Stettler Wiberg
LAYTON a" Our beautiful wife, mother, and grandmother, Julia Stettler Wiberg, 69, passed away Tuesday, April 14, 2009, after a valiant fight with cancer. She was born January 26, 1940, in Ogden, Utah, to George and Jean Meadows Stettler. Her happy childhood was spent in Ogden; Nyssa, Oregon; Fairmont; and Roy. She is a graduate of Weber High School and Utah State University.
On August 18, 1960, she married her eternal sweetheart, DeMont Wiberg, in the Salt Lake Temple. They have lived in Sunset, Roy, and Layton. After their marriage she spent many years selling fruit at her father''s fruit stand in Sunset.
She has been an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and faithfully served in the Primary, as a Jr. Sunday School Coordinator, Young Women''s President, Relief Society President, Laurel Advisor, and a Visiting Teacher.
Julia''s greatest desire in life was to be a good wife, mother, and grandmother. She more than accomplished her goal; she devoted her entire life to serving her wonderful family. She is survived by her loving husband, DeMont, and their children: Brian and Kelly Wiberg, Littleton, Colorado; Brent and Kathee Wiberg, Ellington, Connecticut; Clark and Janell Wiberg, Coon Rapids, Minnesota; Michelle and Scott Bulloch, Las Vegas, Nevada; Melanie and Kirk Derr, Flower Mound, Texas. Also surviving are the following twenty grandchildren: Hannah Wiberg, Brenton, Brock, Brittnee, and Brailee Wiberg; Stuart, Sean, Dallin, Derrick, Jacob, and Joseph Wiberg; Boyden, Brayden, Bronson, Brynlee, and Brody Bulloch; Korbin, Ethan, Koral, and Teage Derr. She is also survived by her beloved mother, Jean Stettler of Roy, and the following brothers and sisters: Fred and Linda Stettler, Layton; Joan and Wayne Hill, St. George; LaDonna and David Ogden, Layton; and Reed Stettler, Roy. Her father George and a younger brother Bobby preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held Monday, April 20, 2009 at 11 a.m. at the Summerhaze Ward 380 South Fairfield Road, Layton. Friends and family may call Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road and Monday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the church.
Interment, Farmington City Cemetery.
The family expresses their sincere appreciation for the many kindnesses shown to their wife and mother during her illness. A special thanks to the Relief Society sisters of the Layton Summerhaze Ward for their love and concern and to Drs. Harold Johnson and Alan Abdulla for the special care they provided.
