Julia Mae Cowley born September 29, 1944 to Benjamin Levi and Mae Gale passed away Wednesday, January 19, 2022. She was surrounded by loved ones and was able to reminisce about her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. When asked “What was her greatest achievement?” She replied, “My family!” Mom always thought of others before herself even on the day she passed away.

She will be sorely missed by us all. She is survived by her son, Richard (LaTanya) Cowley, Scott (Liz) Cowley, and Debbie (Shawn) Call; close cousin, Chuck (Sally) Gale; several grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard N. Cowley; parents, Lee (Mae) Gale; stepmom, Gertrude Gale; and brother, Gary Gale.

The family would like to thank the staff at Crestwood Care Center, the staff at McKay Dee Hospital, and the Staff of IHC Hospice for the love and care they gave her.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 28, 2022 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Friday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
