Julie Ann Newman
On November 26, 2021, we tragically lost a beautiful wife, mother, sister, G-MA, and friend Julie Ann McKnight Newman to a sudden illness.
Julie was born on December 15, 1963, to Ruby and DeLayne McKnight in Boise Idaho. Julie married her sweetheart Lonnie Newman on June 10, 1988. They met while Lonnie was stationed in Mountain Home AFB, ID. While Lonnie was in the military, they got the opportunity to travel the world. They lived in Germany, England and traveled to many other places. Julie and Lonnie had three beautiful girls whom she considered her best friends.
Julie graduated from Nampa High School in 1982. She then received her associates degree from Park University in accounting and finance. She proceeded her career in accounting.
Julie loved people. She loved giving to others. She enjoyed traveling, being with family, her pups, and shopping, especially for purses. She loved being a G-MA and loved her grandchildren deeply.
In the last year and a half of her life, Julie was proud of her sobriety and her new closeness and relationship with God. Julie was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and loved her Lord and Savior dearly.
Julie is survived by her husband Lonnie Newman, daughters Teryn Smith (Zach), Amber Winslow (Dereck), Cortnee St John (Matt), siblings Trent McKnight (Jenn), Darrin McKnight (Karen), Brett McKnight (Kim). 6 beautiful grandchildren Espyn, Cooper, Swayzie, Delta, Violet, and Ayela. Along with multiple nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws.
Julie was proceeded in death by her parents DeLayne and Ruby McKnight. We know she was joyfully welcomed into heaven by her parents and pups Haydey, Mollie, Sadie, and Barney.
