Julie Smith 1961 - 2012

Our dear wife, mother and grandmother Julia Lynn Thurgood Smith, passed away July 24, 2012. Julie was born on February 9, 1961 in Ogden, Utah to Dennis Russell Thurgood and Katherine Springer Thurgood. She graduated from Davis High School and was married to Richard Grant Love on March 17, 1979. Rich and Julie had three children Richard Tyson (Ashlee), Jaxson Todd (Kinsey), and Sadie Kay Love.

Julie married Steven Bradley Smith on August 10, 1990. Together, they had two children, Taylor Jordan, currently serving in the New Jersey, Morristown Mission, and Carston Bradley. Steve and Julie were later sealed in the Bountiful Temple on December 5, 1995.

Being a devoted mother was everything to Julie. She loved watching her kids participate in their events, and spent most of her time chasing them around to dance recitals, rodeos, football games, and musical productions. Julie was a talented seamstress and made beautiful creations of her own design. She was also a very talented decorator that had a knack for bringing old pieces of furniture back to life. Her family loved the beautiful arrangements of flowers, clocks, and dAC.cor she made and found to decorate her home. Her family meant everything to her, and her five grandchildren adored "Grandma Ju-Ju."

Julie was a wonderful friend and mother to all, and she will be dearly missed.

Funeral services will be held 11 am Saturday, July 28, 2012 at the Bountiful Heights Stake Center, 33 S. Moss Hill Dr. Friends may visit family Friday, July 27th from 6-8 pm at Lindquist''s Bountiful Mortuary, 727 N. 400 E. and Sat. from 9:45 a€" 10:45 am at the church prior to services. Interment Bountiful City Cemetery.
