June Beckstead

June 13, 1923 ~ November 19, 2014

June Beckstead, 92, our loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt returned to her eternal family on November 19, 2014.

June married her loving husband, Evan, on June 6, 1948 and sealed for all eternity on February 21, 2004.

June enjoyed spending time outdoors, dancing, camping, fishing, traveling, and visiting the family. June would often tell of times she and Evan would go to Viva Naughten Reservoir with her brother and sister-in-law to camp and fish.

June would always take a little something to give to those she was visiting, especially for the little kids. June’s kindness and compassion for life and family will be greatly missed.

June is survived by her son, Evan Jay (Iva) Beckstead; grandchildren, Shad Beckstead, Amy (Michael) Shaw, and Wade (Jennifer) Beckstead; seven great-grandchildren; brothers, James Kunz, Gene (Pat) Kunz; and sister, Leda Watkins.

June was preceded in death by her husband, Evan Beckstead; parents, Rudolph Kunz and Elizabeth Hasler; brothers, Art Kunz and Ralph Kunz; sister, Virginia Dulkey; and many nieces and nephews.

Graveside Services will be held on Monday, November 24, 2014, at 2 p.m. at the Ogden City Cemetery. Friends may visit with family on Monday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
