June Perkins Campbell

Our loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend passed away on September 1, 2013. June was born on June 15, 1952 in Ogden, UT to Ray B. and Lorraine Perkins. She was raised and educated in Roy, graduating from Roy High School.

On April 25, 1970 June married her best friend Wayne Campbell at his parent''s home in North Ogden. They lived in Farr West and later moved to Roy where they raised their children. They later moved to Marriott-Slaterville until Wayne''s passing. June lived in Roy and Harrisville.

June worked and retired from the Internal Revenue Service after 30 years. She enjoyed her work there and made many friends that remained special in her life.

June found great joy in her grandchildren and loved telling everyone about them. She touched many lives from work to those she met at her chemo treatments.

For many years she courageously fought numerous forms of cancer. She became involved in the Relay for Life, showing her support for cancer research and the hope for a cure. June also volunteered each year at the Golden Spike Arena and the Weber County Fair. She always had a quick smile for everyone she met.

Surviving are her children, Tami (Scott) Bowen and Tony (Bonnie) Campbell; grandchildren, Codie, Ty, Brock and Chase; brothers and sisters, Raylene (Charles) Perkins, Paul (Bonnie) Perkins, Betty Terry, Edith Crane, Dennis Perkins, Kathy Rigdon, and Arlene (Roger) Tucker.

June was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne, and Father Ray Perkins.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 6, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary.

Interment, Lindquist''s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
