June Maughan Carver

June Maughan Carver, 93, passed away Friday, May 11, 2018 at the Hidden Valley Assisted Living facility. June was born on a beautiful summer day, June 27, 1924 in Baker, Oregon, the fourth child of Ervin Salisbury Maughan and Hilda Caroline Clawson. She grew up in Wellsville and Hyrum, Utah, attending schools there.
After high school, June and her sister moved to Ogden, Utah and worked at the Ogden Arsenal, then Roosevelt Elementary. She was an active member of the PTA and her children’s room mother for many years. She later worked at McKay-Dee Hospital as a supervisor.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
On October 3, 1942, June married George John Carver.
He preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Carl, Clark, Wayne, Radia and Rhea, and one grandson, Cody. She is survived by her children. Judy Bambrough (Boyd, deceased), Allen (Jackie), Val (Vicky), Terry (Denice), Bruce, Dan (Debbi), 14 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, one brother, Lynn (Nancy) Maughan, and a sister-in-law, Connie Maughan. She dedicated most of her life to her family and friends, which was most important to her.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 17, 2018 at Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd. The family will meet with friends Wednesday, May 16th from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
Her family is very grateful for all the staff members of Pine View Rehabilitation Center, Mountain Ridge Assisted Living and Hidden Valley Assisted Living for the help and tender care which was given to her during her stay. A special thank you to Jeannette, Autumn and Mary Lou from Aspen Ridge Hospice.
