June Fowers Cole

Our loving mother, grandmother, and friend, June Fowers Cole, 92, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Monday, October 21, 2013. She was born in Hooper, Utah on July 17, 1921 the daughter of Levi Jesse and Dina Bartyne Fowers. June graduated from Ogden High School and Steven-Henager''s College in Business.

On December 12, 1941 she married her sweetheart, Elmer M. Cole in Ogden, Utah. Their marriage was solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple on May 22, 1964. After 61 wonderful years together Elmer passed away on March 22, 2003.

June worked as a Secretary for the State of Utah Employement Office for 26 years.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Riverdale 2nd Ward. She enjoyed her callings serving in the Primary and Relief Society.

June went with Elmer as he attended the Eagles Aerie of Ogden, and they camped at the Eagles Trailer Park in the summer. June and Elmer enjoyed traveling to St. George in the winter. She enjoyed crocheting, quilting, sewing and gardening. June was goodhearted and she knew she was right.

June is survived by her daughters, Ricky (Darrell) Mueller, West Point and Patricia (Dale) Stephens, Riverdale; five grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother, Wallace Fowers.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, October 24, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
