June C. Drysdale
OGDEN – June Claudine Wright Drysdale, 86, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, April 4, 2010, following an extended illness.
She was born January 26, 1924 in Roseville, California, a daughter of David LeRoy and Lilla Von Gament Wright. She was reared in Cache Valley. She lived in Ogden for the past 50 years.
She married Harmon L. Dyrsdale on May 7, 1950 in Elko, Nevada. Their marriage was solemnized in the Ogden LDS Temple on February 2, 1979. He preceded her in death on October 22, 1977.
She was a former member of the Washington Terrace 7th Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints for many years. In recent days, she was a member of the Turnberry Ward in Syracuse. She completed a church service mission in the Ogden Temple.
June enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing, the Utah Jazz and spending time with her family. She loved animals, especially her dog Benji.
She is survived by her sister, Pauline (Myron) Nicholas, Salt Lake City. Also surviving are one son and one daughter, James H. Drysdale, Claudine (Bruce) Butters, seven grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
June was preceded in death by her husband, one sister, Dorothy; one brother, Hal; and one grandson, Kiley.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 8 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
Friends may call at the mortuary on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday 12:45 to 1:45 p.m.
Interment, Ogden City Cemetery.
