June Ilene Purcell Weaver, 87, passed away peacefully at her home on February 9, 2018, surrounded by her family.
She was born in Sterling, Colorado to Leland Dale Purcell and Rosilla Irene Hayes Purcell. She married Rulon Barnes Weaver shortly after graduating high school and together they had a son, Randy Barnes Weaver, and a daughter Kristeen Weaver Nalder. While she and Rulon later divorced, they remained friends until the time of his death on January 2, 2018.
June was a prominent resident of Layton and spent the last 10 years of her life in Farmington. She spent years with Rulon and their children living on the LDS Church farm, and worked as a beautician for over 3 decades. After retiring, she devoted her life to her family, especially her grandchildren, whom she loved and adored.
June will be remembered for wanting family togetherness, her strong-will, gardening, Thanksgiving dinners, love for animals and generosity toward her family, never forgetting a holiday or birthday.
She is survived by her children, Randy Barnes Weaver (Carolyn), Kristeen Weaver Nalder (Robin), grandchildren, Justin Travelle Nalder (Cammi), Nicholas Travelle Nalder (Heather), and great-granddaughters, Caitlyn, Cierra, Lydia Grace and Savannah Belle Nalder.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Ethel Irene Purcell, an infant son, and her ex-husband.
