JUNIOR C (JACK) HARDY 1923-2012
Junior C. (Jack) Hardy, beloved husband and father, passed away in Bountiful, Utah on Tuesday, November 14, 2012. Jack was born in Ogden, Utah August 13, 1923 to John C. and Aretta Slater Hardy.
Jack served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II. During his service he fought in four major battles including the Battle of the Bulge.
He worked for the U.S. Postal Service until he retired in 1978. Jack was an Elder in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- Day Saints
Survived by his wife of 66 years, Doreen Hedin Hardy; two children, David Earl Hardy (Susan) Clearwater, Florida, Jone Baker of Logan, Utah; 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; a sister, Lorna Bryans (Bob), Green Acres, Washington; two brothers, Dennis Stanton (Pat) Mesquite, Nevada, and Gary Stanton, Altoona, Iowa. Preceded in death by his parents and his sister Gladys Tuengel.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at 12:00 noon at the Bountiful Shadows Chapel, 1475 North 300 West, Bountiful, Utah, with Bishop Todd K. Hilton officiating. A viewing for family and friends will take place 10:45-11:45a.m. prior to the services at the chapel.
Interment at Lindquist''s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd. Ogden, Utah.
Services under the direction of Lindquist''s Bountiful Mortuary.
