Karen Call
Karen Kinsey Call died July 28, 2008, after a hard-fought battle with cancer.
She was born November 19, 1941 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Alvin D. and Lola Thornley Kinsey.
Karen graduated from Davis High School, later attending U.S.U, Weber College and the U. of U.
She married Steven F. Sartor, May 29, 1964 later divorced. She married Lawrence W. (Larry) Call, September 17, 1974 their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. Larry was her sweetheart to the end, taking tender care of her, especially during her illness. Karen’s greatest desire in life was to become a mother. She partially realized that goal when she married Larry and added his three children to their new family, but they also became the parents of two sons and two daughters.
Karen was honored as 2008 West Bountiful Mother of the Year through an entry submitted by her daughter Camille. Karen was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many ward and stake callings.
She is survived by her husband Larry, children; Cari (Bill) Biggerstaff, Highland; Bart (Cathy), Monte Sereno, CA; Lawrence (Shannon), Boise, ID; Benjamin K. (Andrea), Draper; Camille (Dave) Huggard and Casadee (Chad) Skola, North Salt Lake; and a daughter/friend Miriam “Rosie” (George) King, San Jose, CA; nine grandchildren; four great grandchildren; siblings Conda (Scott) Miller, West Bountiful; Colleen (Craig) Moline, Greenbrier, AR; Richard A. (Jane) Kinsey, Paul, ID, and Michael J. Kinsey, Layton. She was preceded in death by her parents and son Andrew K. Call.
The family would like to thank Vista Care Hospice for their compassion. She was often touched by the kindness of many friends and relatives in her behalf.
Funeral services will be held 11 am Monday, August 4, 2008 at the West Bountiful 9th Ward Chapel, 1930 N. 600 W. Friends may call Sunday from 6-8 pm at Lindquist’s Bountiful Mortuary, 727 N. 400 E. and Monday 9:45 -10:45 am at the church prior to services. Interment Centerville City Cemetery.
