Karen Alvey DeMille

Karen Alvey DeMille has gained her angel wings. With her sweetheart, Bill Hartman by her side, Karen returned to her Heavenly Father on Tuesday, April 7, 2015.

Karen was born in Moses Lake, Grant County, Washington on July 3, 1959. Karen lived with Juvenile Diabetes from the age of five. She never let that stop her from pursuing her dreams. Karen was an amazing, well loved hair dresser for over 35 years. Her talent, smile and kindness created a cliental of dear friends. She made friends wherever she was.

Karen loved her dogs Libbi and Cricket. She cared for them like children and they made her life happier. Karen loved animals. She was a passionate animal activist.

Karen was proud to be a member of the LDS Church Suntrails Ward of Layton West Stake.

Karen was a kind and loving soul. She was a bright light in the lives of all she knew. Her free spirit helped people feel welcome. Karen had a big heart, always wanting to make others happy. She never complained even when her health was failing. Karen fought hard to stay with us. We are honored to have had her sweet and loving spirit in our lives. Though she will be greatly missed we are comforted in knowing she can be with her Father in Heaven and be free.

Karen enjoyed making beautiful jewelry. She was also a talented seamstress and tailor.

Karen is survived by her sweetheart, Bill Hartman and his children, Tami (Brad) Graham and Cody (Randi) Hartman, her daughter Tanya (Kelly) Becraft, grandchildren, Dax and Marley Kjar, Ryder, Dreyson and Myka Becraft, parents, Clark and Barbara DeMille, sisters, Sheila (Blake) Chard, Loni (Sergio) Macias, DeNise (Craig) Anderson, her best friend, Julie Stoltzman, several nieces, nephews and loving extended family.
